here’s the story…

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Mary Denham is a pastry chef with a passion for creating original, rustic — and delicious — baked goods. An accomplished baker with extensive hands-on experience, Mary started baking professionally in the Bay Area over ten years ago. She obtained her baking degree from the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone, spent time at Oliveto in Oakland, San Anselmo’s M.H. Bread & Butter, and Dogpatch-based Neighbor Bakehouse, and was the pastry chef at Outer Sunset institution Outerlands.

In 2018, Mary founded M. Denham Baking Co. to feature her unique, understated baked goods with an emphasis on seasonal, local produce and a nod to the past.
